Q: How can I become more involved?
A: WAH is always looking for new and innovative ways to effectively fundraise; we welcome any new ideas as well as support. Our goal is to not only aid in the hunger problem in Calgary, but to inspire youth to take charge and peruse new and exciting initiatives, which unite and act as a catalyst for the youth.
Q: How do I get my High school/ Elementary school/ Junior High School Involved?

Q: Why should I donate to WAH?
A: To help those that are less fortunate and to make a difference in this city. WAH is a group fully managed by the youth to create unity and inspire change.
Q: What is better, food or money?
A: Every little bit makes a difference, and ultimately whatever anyone can donate is great! However, because the food banks relationships with many grocery stores and bulk wholesalers, they can purchase more food for every dollar than the average person. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can distribute $4 of food.
Q: Can we donate non-vegetarian items?
A: Yes, Calgary Inter-faith Food Bank is in strong need of the following items:
• Baby Formula with Iron
• Pasta
• Pasta Sauce
• Canned Tomatoes
• Peanut Butter
• Canned Beans in Tomato Sauce
• Cereal
• Canned and Dry Soup
• Baby Food (jars)
• Canned Fish
• Macaroni and Cheese

• Processed Cheese Spread (jar)
• Juice (1 litre)
Q: Can I have a tax receipt?
A: Yes, if your cash donation is over $10, the Inter-faith Food Bank will mail you a tax receipt.
