WHY: To come up with a new design and slogan/quote for the 2010 SYC Shirts! Winners will be chosen and recognized!

We have a contest for all you artistic and creative souls out there. Some of you may be aware of the SYC shirts, which are distributed annually during Nagar Kirtan, and this year we would like to come up with new ideas for the design. We challenge our youth to come up with new and tasteful designs which can be presented through Photoshop, sketches or drawings.

The basic criteria for this contest is that they must represent some sort of positive and powerful message to the community. Designs can be submitted electronically to sikhyc@gmail.com in any format (scans of drawings, Photoshop, etc.). For those of us who aren't as creative with your hands and are creative with your minds, don't you worry. Not only will we be judging the designs themselves, but we will also be choosing the top quotes and slogans. The quotes can be something you have read or even something that you yourself had made-up, just keep in mind that they are being judged so find the most inspirational, touching piece of writing you can get your hands on! We will be choosing the top few designs and quotes, these are two different categories so there is potential for numerous winners. The winners of this contest will be fully recognized for their great work and the contest deadline will be January 15, 2010. Good luck to all the participants!
