Flair4Famine

Update to Flair4Famine Event:

With support from our youth, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers we were able to double our goal for Flair4Famine and raised an incredible $20,706.20! These funds will go towards Canadian Red Cross and Oxfam Canada to help those families and children suffering and dying every day from the famine in Somalia/Horn of Africa.

Each persons support remains a mark of unity, service, and inspiration and we are so thankful and blessed to be supported by our community.

Flair4Famine is a Bollywood themed Fashion & Performance show sponsored by Crossover Bollywood S'e. The event will take place at the Polish Canadian Cultural Center (3015 15 Street Northeast Calgary, AB) on November 23, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Tickets are $25 with proceeds directed to Red Cross for Somalia famine relief!

The Sikh Youth of Calgary are hoping to raise $10,000 for Somalia Famine Relief. Our goal is to help provide emergency supplies, clean water, food, and health clinics to those suffering in Somalia. The UN has recently declared famine across all regions of South Somalia making known the extent of the problem and emphasizing the need for help in this area.

This fine evening will include: appetizers and refreshments, a Bollywood themed fashion show and a wide variety of performances, including singing, dance performances, martial arts, Gatka and drum performances! We encourage all communities in Calgary to attend this event to promote unity and to inspire one another to lend a hand to Somalia.

The following performances are booked for the event, with special appearances by Raju Johal, Madison Boxa, PropheC, and DeepC!!
